17 inch toddler with original Kestner body stamp "Germany 2" in red on his lower back.
Solid dome head.
Open/closed mouth.
Chubby cheeks with a double chin.
Light golden brown painted and molded hair.
Blue blown-glass sleeping eyes.
Finely brush-feathered eyebrows.
Painted upper and lower eyelashes.
Part of his original wax eyelids are still intact.
Incised J.D.K. on the back of his head.
Below that "Made in Germany".

NOTE:
He has not been restored by current owner and shows age-appropriate wear. Small blue marks on the top of his head look like ink (have not tried to wash off). Neck of body has wear and body shows overall scratches and wear. ( See all the BIG close-up photographs.)Tip of toes on one foot are worn and aged. Little finger of left hand missing. Composition hands and lower arms may be old replacements or repainted long ago as show paint discoloration.

He wears an elaborate and expertly tailored Little Lord Fauntleroy style outfit in good vintage condition. Includes a lined wool jacket with fancy lacy collar, belt with loops at the back, matching lined cap, all in soft brown tweed. Knickerbockers in chocolate brown with brass color buttons at the sides. A beautiful foulard is tied around his neck. His shoes are cream, soft old leather and in played-with vintage condition. Long, vintage probably Original, stockings in cream. Vintage one piece undergarment with button closures, probably Original.
