Great British Bears.Dean's Rag Book Company was founded by Henry Dean in 1903.
Dean's first teddy bear was cataloged in 1915, but probably were made as early as 1906, thus making Dean's one of the oldest teddy bear makers in Britain.
Deans initially made teddy bears in their Elephant and Castle district of London factory.
In 2015 Deans closed down their UK factory and are now made overseas, but their teddy bears continue on choice collectibles.
