Original hanging label is still attached.
Irish Flower Seller Character Doll made by the famous doll maker Jay of Dublin, with hand painted features and a grey mohair wig. This 6" doll is all original with a composition molded head, felt arms and legs over a wired armature for poseability.
Traditional Irish costumed doll.
The doll includes a small wooden stand.
Comes with her little wrist tag. "Collectors Character Doll handmade by "Jay" of Dublin". Also comes with a label inside the dress.
All original with wrist tag and tag in skirt. Apron and tag have mottled age markings (see big photographs for details), otherwise, in overall great vintage condition.
She wears a brightly patterned cotton long-sleeved blouse and long black skirt with white cotton half apron over it, a large black shawl, pink flannel half slip and striped underwear. Black painted shoes.
Flower Seller Traditional outfit with wicker basket and tiny red flowers.Hang tag reads: "DUBLIN FLOWER SELLER. Typical of the Dublin street traders, the flower seller is a very colorful character and her ready wit is quite infectious."
Silk tag inside dress reads " Hand Made in Ireland. Jays Traditional Dolls".
