A wonderful, All Original Vintage Merrythought, England, really big wooden Store Sign for display.
The really BIG and RARE 36 inches high x approx. 18/19 inches wide wooden Merrythought Store Display Sign from England in their logo Wishbone shape. It is very solid and heavy, wooden free-standing with a large matching wooden back-brace stanchion that fits in to a slot at the back to hold up and support the sign.
This was from Dollsville Dolls and Bearsville Bears Palm Springs Store inventory. It was displayed from the 80s with the Merrythought bears display until I sold the Palm Springs, California store in 2016 and retired to Lake Arrowhead.Red, white and blue with silver foil decorating the sides and top.
All Original, never repainted or touched up. In overall good Vintage condition for its age with just a few small marks or scratches as clearly shown in all the close-up photos. The silver foil decorating the very top of the Wishbone is slightly creased with a piece of clear tape covering the edge and a small nick on the base below the D of the word England. The wooden edges are slightly scraped.
The name MERRYTHOUGHT is in white across the center of the sign.
At the base is "soft toys", then "MADE IN ENGLAND".
