This is a wonderful family of 3 Antique 1930s gold mohair, jointed teddy bears, available as a set at a special group price.

A British Royal Bear Family:
The Prince of Wales is the Daddy Bear, with Mummy and Baby Bear.
The Prince of Wales Antique Circa 1930 British teddy bear with antique Prince of Wales pin. Bear. Size 24 inch. Gold mohair. Good vintage condition with age appropriate wear and overall mohair loss. Fully jointed, with a loosely jointed neck. Any restoration and repairs were done by the Museum including stitching to his back and recovered paw pads. Some of his original foot pad claws still visible (see close-up). Small mark on right footpad.
Dressed in his fancy antique Prince of Wales houndstooth jacket with trimming and many antique pins, all included. This antique jacket is an absolute work of art, with yellow-gold lining and antique buttons.
The Prince also comes with his display props: an Original Antique Gentleman's Set consisting of an Edwardian leather collar box with collars, a leather stud box with studs.
Antique Circa 1930 British Bear. Circa 1930. Size 27 inch. Light gold mohair. Fully jointed. Good vintage condition with age appropriate wear. Amber eyes. A long snout. She has dark brown rexine paw pads (see detailed close-up photos). Dressed in antique clothes and floral decoration, necklace with yellow crystals. Her dress is of eyelet, with short sleeves, which is open at the back and tied at the neckline.
Antique Circa 1930 British Bear. Size 10 inch. Light gold mohair, jointed, with amber eyes. In vintage played-with condition with with age appropriate wear, some mohair loss, especially on the tummy (see detailed close-up photos). Wearing a cream antique dress with short, ruffled sleeves and buttoned at the back neckline, snugly fitting on the armholes.
These Antique teddy bears have not been restored by us and are in the Original condition they were in, as displayed in the Museum. Any restoration and repairs were done by the Museum, prior to purchase in 1994.

In 1994 the Tetbury Teddy Bear Museum in the Cotswolds, England, closed and John McBride bought many of the wonderful teddy bears and props. A huge collection of antique and vintage teddy bears, toys and teddy bear-related books.
