Miniature Antique Circa 1800s Glazed Porcelain China Head Dollhouse Doll.
Incised on the back of her neck "Germany" on the shoulder-plate.
This sweet-faced dollhouse doll is in a very wide full-length handmade dress, of shades of copper, nutmeg, cream and black striped material, edged at the neckline with cream lace. This German dollhouse doll has an endearing, quizzical expression due to a raised right eyebrow. A china head on shoulder-plate with bisque lower legs and arms, cloth body.
Her hand-painted black hair has a center part. She has more blush apparent on her right cheek and a rosebud mouth.
Long white pantaloons have lace at their hemline.
Black ankle boots are painted on, with a small unpainted area under the left heel. Her arms have been loosely stitched on the inside of her upper bodice, and the neckline is open at the back with signs of re-stitching (see close-ups).
