1956 World-wide Doll Club, Rotterdam, Holland.This was a doll sent to the USA as part of the World-wide Doll Club.
The original leaflet telling the story of the artist,Tina Van Dyck, Volendam, Holland, says "Printed in Holland for World-wide Doll Club Darien, Connecticut, U.S.A."

The box lid has a paper label stating"World-wide Doll Club, Rotterdam, Holland, sent to the USA in 1956 with original box and story about the artist inside.
Look at the large photo below and you will see 3 of the the orignal red 5c postage stamps postmarked 1956 WASH, plus part of a 10c Nederland stamp, are on the box, together with a "Douane" Customs declaration stamped Volendam.
The shipping box is shown in the close-up photographs - it very clearly got battered in the mail on the way from Europe.
