Made in Germany by J.D. Kestner marked "G" Ca. 1890's.

Incised on the back of her head - G.
Below that on bottom right side of back plate is Made in Germany G.

This sweet doll has big, dark brown blown-glass sleeping eyes.
Delicately feathered eyebrows, eyelashes.
An open mouth with tiny teeth showing.
Doll is marked on the back of her head G in script.
Her bisque head is marked G in two places, and "Made in Germany" on her shoulder-plate.
She has a turned shoulder head and mostly cloth body.
Kid leather upper arms show old patches, tape and apparently repairs from long ago.
Bisque lower arms and cloth body.
Soft, wavy, wispy blonde hair glued on the top to the plaster pate, which is intact.
Traces of old glue can be seen around the pate.
